Resident doctors at New Delhi’s Ram Manohar Lohia, Safdarjung and Lady Hardinge hospitals will withdraw routine and emergency services starting Monday as a protest against the delay in the NEET-PG 2021 counselling continue across the country.

The letter from the Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association (FORDA) to Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, stated that delay in expediting the (NEET-PG) counselling has resulted in an inadequate workforce in the healthcare institutions. If another COVID wave sets in, the situation would be disastrous due to the inadequate workforce in the healthcare sector and affect the country’s population. So agitation will continue, as decided after discussions with various RDA representatives of Delhi.
